Arrival in Tbilisi/Transfer from airport and accommodation in 3*Hotel Asterion

You will have time to rest and then meet “Travel World” company representatives.

Having breakfast at a hotel we go to the walking tour around Tbilisi – one of the ancients capitals in the world. Firstly we visit one of the main Orthodox Cathedrals of St.Trinity and one of the biggest temples in the whole Transcaucasia. Next we go down to the Metekhi temple of XIIc. and get to know the history of this wonderful city as well as enjoy the panoramic view over Tbilisi from the height. We walk along the first bridge over Mtkvari river connecting with each other the two embankments. We proceed our way to the oldest districts of Tbilisi called Abanotumani translated as the district of the baths, namely the famous Sulphuric baths of the city. You will be told the legend about how the city was discovered in the Vc. and see many more. After the tour you will have lunch and we go for hotels check up.

After breakfast this day we are setting for Kakheti – main wine region of Georgia. On the way you will enjoy the views of the vast valleys and plains covered with gardens and vine yards. Our first stop will be at Badiauri Complex combining hotel, restaurant and production of cheese and wine – all in one place. Then we proceed to the nearby Kachreti Ambasssadori hotel as well as visit Bodbe Monastery where is the burial place of St. Nino, who converted Georgia to Christianity. To the east of the church you can find an observation deck, with spectacular views of the Alazani valley and a staircase that leads to Saint Nino’s spring, where you can plunge into water dressed in white shirts, because this water is considered miraculous with healing effect. From there, at a distance of 2km there is a small cozy town – Sighnaghi, often compared with small towns of Italy. We check up the hotels:

Next we make way to the village Velistsikhe to the family winery – Numisi wine cellar, built in ancient classical architecture with stones. Just taking a glance of these items kept here you will find yourself in the medieval times. We will have a short break and time for dinner. Afterwards we drive to Kvareli – one of the main wine productions in Georgia, boasting with its 8km tunnel for keeping wine. You will get to know the history of wine making in Georgia the roots of which go as far as to the VIc. BC.

Next we visit the ancient capital of Kakheti –castle Gremi which was the royal family residence in the XVIIc.

This day we are travelling to the western part of Georgia. First we visit ancient capital and religious center of Georgia – Mtskheta, still referred to as the second Jerusalem. It is located vary near to Tbilisi. Here you can visit the Cathedral of Svetitskhoveli (literally, “the Living Pillar”), which houses the cloth of Jesus Christ. Visit the Monastery of Saint Nino, Samtavro, through which Georgia became a Christian country. Enjoy stunning views of the confluence of two rivers – Mtkvari and Aragvi, from the famous temple Jvari (in Georgian “cross”). Architects have worked hard to design it so, that it fits into its landscape with the ratio to the rock is 1:7. Since 1994, Jvari is a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with Svetitskhoveli. Next we are driving to Gori where we see the house-museum of Josepf Stalin and a rock-hewn antique town  Uplistsikhe and after lunch we  head for  Batumi. Overnight in Batumi.


Batumi is one of the most rapidly developing cities in Georgia and one of the main beach resorts located on the Black Sea coast. The architecture of Batumi features the combination of European and Asian styles. You may enjoy a vast boulevard spread along the beach line as well as find your favourite entertainment. You will nowhere find such a cultural mix as in Batumi that may be justified only by historic facts.

Afterwards we make our way to Kutaisi. It was once the capital of ancient kingdom of Kolkhi. We visit the Bagrati cathedral (XIc.) on the way to Prometheus cave. The cathedral was named after the first king of the united Georgia Bagrat III.  The cave of Prometheus was discovered in 1984 and was almost immediately developed as a show cave. Kumistavi is the biggest cave in Georgia. Although only one tenth is open for tourists, it takes about an hour to explore it. Inside there are underground lakes and rivers where tourists’ can explore the cave on boats in case there is sufficient level of water. Next we proceed our way to Borjomi.

Borjomi is a well-known therapeutic resort famous for its mineral waters and national parks with rich and diversified flora and fauna.

Late in the evening we return back Asterion Tbilisi.


Upon having breakfast we are making the way to the mountain and so much loved place by visitors – Kazbegi. We visit the Ananuri castle and church – one of the well-preserved castles in Georgia of the XVII c. The location of the site is actually impressive surrounded by Jinvali water reservoir. We will pass Gudauri, a popular winter resort in Georgia and check up the hotels:

Next we proceed to Kazbegi, a small settlement called Stepantsminda located very near to the Russian bordfer. Vicinity of Stepantsminda is picturesque, Thergi river is running below the town, with snow-capped peaks of Caucasus rising up among which the Mount Kazbek is the  highest  (5033m). There are quite a few valleys, glaciers and coniferous forests. You will truly enjoy fresh mountain air and mineral springs of Stepantsminda considered to be the main therapy for breathing or eating disorders.
